Pam aka the actual bundle of sunshine. You should get out more, sis. The day’s not so boring.

He kept his eyes before them, looking across the glistening sky and towards the west. The sun would be setting soon, but OH what a wonder it would be to watch the blue sky turn in wondrous color.
He held tighter to Pam as her question came. He didn’t expect this to last, but he wished they could enjoy it for at least a little longer.
“Nothing lasts forever Pamela..”
He whispered into her hair. It pained him to say, but hadn’t they been proven such time and time again? He reached down deep inside him to find something positive.
“You’re the only thing I can count on.”
He smiled proudly then kissed the top of her head.
His words were true and no matter how much she enjoyed being in the light, she knew that it could be taken away as easy as it was given. She closed her eyes and rested her head against Eric’s chest savoring what she could.
“Always”
She whispered quietly to him and she meant it. She would be there for him until given the true death always and forever. She looked out over the horizon as the sun slowly began to fade, she couldn’t remember what a sunset looked like but she would finally get to see another
“I wish this could last a little longer”
She smiled looking up at him, it felt nice to be held in his arms again. Nothing and no one made her feel more loved than Eric and as her maker he would always hold a piece of her.
He couldn’t help but laugh. He gave her a nod and kept his eyes upon her own.
“Yes, and you aren’t helping our case by saying such things.”
He assured her and brought his hands to brush through her hair. The gold spun strands slipped from between his fingers, and the sun brought each strand to sparkle before his eyes. The corners of his lips pulled taut and he looked past Pam onto the glistening horizon.
He gripped the round of Pam’s shoulder and gave her a spin around. He closed the space to stand behind her and brought his arms to cross around her neck. He leaned into her as they viewed the skyline together. He dropped his chin to rest upon the top of her head, nestling within her nest of hair.
“We are standing on the cusp of a whole new world.”
She laughed, she couldn’t help but feel a bit sentimental they were seeing the light for the first time in what felt like eons. What was an eternity of living in darkness had suddenly changed. Looking up at Eric she just smiled, there was so much more to explore about the day.
As he spun her around Pam laughed softly and leaned back into Eric. She held his arms around her, never wanting him to let go and leave her again. The emptiness she felt when he wasn’t around was like a black hole inside of her but being so close filled the emptiness and made her feel whole again.
“A new world indeed”
Now that vampires could walk the day, she could imagine a whole new world of possibilities.
“Do you think this will last?”
